#eulora Logs for 20 Jan 2019

January 20th, 2019 by Diana Coman
diana_coman: requiemzz, the paths look alright but when going through the steps myself it seems to me you ran the .configure and then chose "make all-recursive" instead of just "make" as the guide says; is this correct? [04:07]
diana_coman: I'm looking at your paste from the other day: http://p.bvulpes.com/pastes/nvvus/?raw=true [04:07]
diana_coman: hm, no,nevermind, that calls the recursive one anyway [04:09]
diana_coman: requiemzz, what version of libtool do you have? libtool --version should show it [04:13]
diana_coman: the thing is that I don't seem to get the same output from make at all so something is weird there; requiemzz can you confirm you got cal3d precisely from this link: http://minigame.biz/eulora/source/cal3d.tar.gz ? [04:21]
diana_coman: this part is surprising: make[3]: Entering directory '/home/user/dev/cal3d/src/cal3d' make[3]: Nothing to be done for 'all'. [04:27]
diana_coman: though I suppose it might be already done from previous run; so that leaves the cal3d_converter itself, hm [04:32]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman i expect it was made before yes. [09:15]
mircea_popescu: requiemzz i dunno what to tell you, the results you report are not as expected, but it's not at all obvious why this should be. practically speaking, the avenues open to you are to either 1) keep tinkering with it, maybe ask the cal3d people for help (cal3d is just a somewhat rare library eulora imports, we didn't write it) ; though i don't know if they still even exist, or else 2) wait for integrated os-eulora item which migh [09:16]
mircea_popescu: t happen this year -- and if not, next, i guess. [09:16]
diana_coman: I guess it'd be a matter of hunting down first the actual error that causes that make-fail and then possibly versions of stuff to see what breaks [09:23]
diana_coman: but at any rate: http://logs.minigame.biz/2019-01-17.log.html#t14:41:17 [09:25]
lobbesbot: Logged on 2019-01-17 14:41:17: <mircea_popescu> diana_coman we evidently have to static this, "works on linux" is as much a fantasy as "works on windows" [09:25]
diana_coman: ^ seems it's true [09:25]
mircea_popescu: myeah [09:34]
requiemzz: ok well i guess i just have to pass on it for now [09:42]
mircea_popescu: thanks for dropping by tho. [09:43]
requiemzz: thanks for your help [09:44]
