thestringpuller: who wants to be on the computer all night after being on it all day [11:10]
chetty: indeed [11:12]
danielpbarron: i was able to compile and run the new version, but when I go to create a new character it's still the blocky guy [11:12]
chetty: yeah there is a fault in that display, just be sure you pick a male [11:12]
danielpbarron: oh ok [11:12]
chetty: well assuming you want to play a male :) [11:13]
thestringpuller: depends on how hot the chicks are modeled ;) [11:13]
thestringpuller: guys make female characters so they can stare at eye candy during the time sink instead of sausage fest yoyo [11:14]
danielpbarron: and for the character name, i shouldn't use my own name? [11:14]
danielpbarron: isn't much of a role player [11:14]
chetty: name can be what you want, the lst name will eventually be your clan name [11:14]
danielpbarron: i'm in it for the economy yo [11:14]
chetty: well thestringpuller when you get your graphics up I will send you the female model to get me triangle numbers from [11:15]
chetty: yeah but eventually death will be permanent and clan will let you inherit [11:16]
danielpbarron: yikes [11:16]
chetty: game really is all about the economy so far :) [11:16]
danielpbarron: hardcore mode? [11:16]
danielpbarron: having d2 flashbacks [11:16]
chetty: currently death is no biggy tho, just makes you pause for a minute [11:17]
danielpbarron: weird, the chat box has stuff I said months ago [11:17]
thestringpuller: the engine caches stuff [11:17]
chetty: yeah its saved on your local user files [11:17]
thestringpuller: i'll msg you saturday chetty if you're working then. [11:18]
thestringpuller: for the files [11:18]
danielpbarron: and... I died [11:18]
danielpbarron: says I fell but i didn't see any holes [11:18]
chetty: hahah thats was fast [11:18]
chetty: tumble down steep banks,, [11:19]
chetty: thestringpuller, sadly model isnt very sexy, I drew her myself :P [11:20]
thestringpuller: rome day built something something nero etc. [11:31]
chetty: indeed, game is come a long way but the art really lags [11:32]
thestringpuller: yea. art is really expensive (time and otherwise) [11:36]
danielpbarron: welp found a 2nd way to die [11:55]
danielpbarron: now i've fallen and also been burned [11:55]
danielpbarron: lol [11:55]
chetty: lmao [11:56]
danielpbarron: oh the burning didn't kill me [11:56]
danielpbarron: i seem to have survived [11:56]
chetty: was trying to ask if you needed help [11:56]
danielpbarron: it doesn't run so well on my crappy laptop; the water is not visible for example [11:57]
chetty: oh yeah, I tried it on laptop, slow as snails [11:58]
danielpbarron: i may have to finally install something on the new machine i got a couple months ago [11:58]
chetty: well as long as you can manage to get on sunday for the event :) [11:59]
ben_vulpes: danielpbarron: are you using gentoo or ubuntu? [12:49]
danielpbarron: gentoo [12:52]
mircea_popescu: * danielpbarron having d2 flashbacks << worse. [12:53]
jurov: thought disgusting goop can be eated... looks like not [15:28]
jurov: needs something to improve his health and funds go thin [15:28]
jurov: prolly sth with tubers [15:29]
jurov: even damn tubers tea needs a samobvar? [15:34]
jurov: how do i check blueprint recipe before buying it? [15:34]
chetty: I dont think you can, death is always an option for now [15:41]
chetty: I suppose someone will make a spreadsheet somethin in wiki eventually [15:46]
thestringpuller: they always do. esp. the japanese players [15:47]
jurov: it's not avoidable here. unless you have phenomenal memory [15:58]
chetty: lmao danielpbarron that was an insane conversation about Eulora you posted. Not sure I want folks like that playing the game :D [16:05]
danielpbarron: yep :D [16:05]
chetty: I wasnt so sure when MP wanted all players to be in the wot, that convinces me [16:07]
mod6: where's this at? [16:15]
mod6: oh nm, found it [16:16]
mod6: <@Samsai> also i'm totally the wrong guy to talk about that game, because my interest and knowledge in bitcoin is close to zero << "I only accept bezzle bucks that number in the hundreds of trillions." [16:19]
mod6: tl;dr: fucking idiots are idiots [16:20]
mod6: < calexil> yeah lol, there should be screenshots of THE MOST RECENT version of the game << speaking of which, i'll upload some of my newest screenshots to my site tonight, you can use them if you wish [16:22]
mod6: anyway, yeah, WoT only. [16:25]
jurov: there is one on fb [16:43]
jurov: screenshot [16:43]
jurov: and hoave more, but they'll be ridiculed [16:45]
jurov: it still keeps coming up with extraordinary stuff [16:55]
diana_coman: hello all [16:59]
danielpbarron: woah i found my first item! [17:00]
danielpbarron: chicken scribblings [17:00]
diana_coman: I've found some floatsam - not sure whether that counts, lol [17:00]
danielpbarron: lol "an uppity chicken" [17:00]
jurov: heh that flotsam's mine, cowas not able to carry it around, so dropped it there [17:01]
thestringpuller: re: danielpbarron 's post. << You could always go the rockstar method and just expect everyone to be super derps and dicks and what not and embrace that. [17:01]
diana_coman: lol, sorry jurov, I had no idea it was someone else's [17:02]
diana_coman: I'm still just looking around really [17:03]
jurov: don't worry, i'm curious if you'll be able to do anything with it [17:03]
diana_coman: nope, it doesn't seem like I'm able to do anything at the moment :))) [17:03]
jurov: it can't be sold, that scammer will give only 1 copper per [17:03]
thestringpuller: danielpbarron: also the linuxgaming mag is pretty much a kotaku clone but linux-centric [17:05]
jurov: diana_coman: have you noticed i talked to you ingame? [17:06]
diana_coman: no [17:06]
diana_coman: uhm, how come I did not see anything? [17:07]
diana_coman: ahhh [17:07]
diana_coman: now I see it [17:07]
diana_coman: uhm, how do I reply? [17:07]
jurov: open messages window [17:07]
diana_coman: now I see there were some msgs yesterday too, but I did not see them, as my camera was all over the place, sorry people [17:09]
jurov: diana_coman: you wrote windows compiltion guide? what was the problem this time? [17:28]
diana_coman: ugh, this time the compilation went fine, but then I could not really run it [17:29]
diana_coman: although now thinking about the issue I had on xubuntu [17:29]
diana_coman: it might be the same on windows [17:29]
jurov: i can't even compile.. it complains of missing zlib [17:29]
diana_coman: did you install the winlibs? [17:29]
diana_coman: zlib is in there [17:29]
diana_coman: if it does not find it, it means that winlibs is not recognised [17:29]
diana_coman: the win compilation guide is outdated now though [17:30]
jurov: yes i have cs-winlibs [17:30]
diana_coman: which version? [17:30]
diana_coman: the new eulora uses a newer version of cs and therefore you need a newer winlibs too [17:30]
jurov: 2.1_003 [17:30]
jurov: if you can create some .zipfile that upon extracting runs on another machine, i have 0.5BTC for you [17:31]
danielpbarron: ah.. I didn't get a new cs [17:31]
danielpbarron: still worked though [17:32]
chetty: someone dropped all his old keys right by my house :P [17:32]
diana_coman: 2.1_003 should be good [17:32]
chetty: water looks a lot better if you get the right cs [17:32]
jurov: chetty that was me. but i don't see them [17:32]
diana_coman: is it the right 32/64bit? [17:32]
jurov: what "it" ? [17:32]
diana_coman: winlibs [17:32]
chetty: yeah its ok, was just making small funny [17:32]
chetty: big pile of bags of keys, hard to miss [17:33]
jurov: but i went to olook there today, the vanished [17:33]
jurov: going again [17:33]
jurov: would be weird if you see them and i do not [17:34]
diana_coman: jurov, I can for one thing zip the compiled thing I have now [17:34]
diana_coman: and for the other try to see whether it's a problem with the files not being copied right [17:34]
jurov: it says "Crystalspace Win32 library" [17:34]
diana_coman: as it was under xubuntu [17:34]
diana_coman: did you compile for 32 bit then? [17:34]
jurov: yes. [17:34]
diana_coman: and did you install winlibs for vs? [17:35]
jurov: yes [17:35]
jurov: uninstalled and reinstalled, even [17:35]
diana_coman: hmm, that's odd [17:35]
diana_coman: I can't really check now all the config and stuff as it's this machine I compiled on, but now I booted in xubuntu [17:36]
jurov: oh, and i do not have apppsclient there at all [17:36]
jurov: i'm trying to compile walktest [17:36]
diana_coman: it sounds like you did not open the right solution then [17:37]
jurov: instead... as that was good test in linux [17:37]
diana_coman: wait [17:37]
diana_coman: walktest is from compiling cs [17:37]
diana_coman: applsclient I think is from compiling eulora [17:38]
danielpbarron: oh i just picked up the keys [17:38]
danielpbarron: maybe i can give them to you in a trade window or something [17:38]
jurov: oh i misread.. it's wkstypical from eulora [17:38]
jurov: so the CS should be only checked out for CRYSTAL to point to, not compiled? [17:39]
chetty: its ok danielpbarron those keys arnt useful anymore, the sweepr will get them eventually [17:39]
jurov: not if he has them [17:39]
danielpbarron: they are in my inventory [17:39]
diana_coman: no, no, it should be compiled too [17:40]
jurov: you can drop them to confound others :D [17:40]
chetty: ha well up to you, eventually you may want the space back :) [17:40]
diana_coman: check out and then compile [17:40]
diana_coman: it's still wkstypical [17:40]
jurov: k, building whole cs solution [17:40]
diana_coman: for both cs and eulora, as that's VS's convention [17:40]
jurov: it keeps complainig about zlib [17:41]
diana_coman: have you installed service pack 1 for VS? [17:41]
jurov: yes [17:42]
diana_coman: looove that blue moon thing in eulora [17:44]
diana_coman: what windows version do you have? [17:44]
chetty: thnaks, MP wants to colonize it :) [17:45]
jurov: win 8.1 [17:46]
jurov: everywhere i read "go to Configuration Properties -> Linker" but Linker is not there at all! [17:47]
diana_coman: right click on the project (or solution, not 100\% sure right now) and you'll find there the linker options too [17:48]
diana_coman: (some second level option) [17:48]
diana_coman: the zlib thing is a bit strange now, as I really did not have any problems with it this time (and it was new install of cs-winlibs given the new version) [17:48]
diana_coman: the best would probably be to check whether the files are indeed there [17:49]
jurov: yes, they are in program files(x86)/.cs/winlibs [17:51]
diana_coman: hmmm, no [17:51]
diana_coman: I mean: not only [17:52]
diana_coman: some should be copied by the installer [17:52]
diana_coman: ugh, sorry I can't check right now as I'd need to reboot [17:52]
diana_coman: jurov I actually sold some of that flotsam for 256/piece [18:00]
diana_coman: chetty, is the skills window supposed to be empty initially? (is it just that I don't have any skill basically or is there something wrong?) [18:06]
jurov: yes, see http://www.eulorum.org/Gameplay [18:07]
diana_coman: I just died, lol [18:08]
diana_coman: cool, thanks jurov [18:09]
jurov: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vsproject/archive/2009/07/07/vc-directories.aspx i had to peruse this, restart msvc, now it builds [18:14]
diana_coman: restart- this very windows solution to all problems [18:14]
jurov: even the whole process how to add global include/libdir is straight voodoo [18:15]
diana_coman: yeees [18:15]
diana_coman: well, msvc is a kind of voodoo thing as a whole, so [18:16]
chetty: no skills to start, have to earn them :) [18:26]
diana_coman: I tried to fish in the sea but it said it wasn't a valid work command, lol [18:28]
jurov: eulora compalins about missing cpp files in ..\..\src, despite they're there [18:29]
diana_coman: are they in the project too? [18:29]
diana_coman: in msvc? [18:29]
diana_coman: I think there was one missing there [18:29]
diana_coman: I had to manually add [18:29]
diana_coman: something *numberswindow [18:30]
diana_coman: chetty might remember it better [18:30]
ben_vulpes: mod6: what os are you using to run eulora? [18:31]
jurov: no it's \src\client\gui\pawsconfigshortcut.cpp and the file isn't there [18:31]
jurov: mod6 was on nigbuntu [18:31]
jurov: you were here yest, no? [18:32]
ben_vulpes: i am bad with scrollback [18:32]
ben_vulpes: hangs head in shame [18:32]
diana_coman: so is it in the src folder there or not? [18:32]
diana_coman: if it is missing only in the solution/project in msvc, you can just add it [18:33]
diana_coman: should be libpaws I guess [18:33]
jurov: it's missing on disk [18:33]
diana_coman: that's strange, there was nothing missing for me this time [18:34]
jurov: and it's in libgui [18:34]
diana_coman: maybe check the archive? [18:34]
jurov: not there [18:35]
jurov: snipped it from project, we'll see [18:35]
diana_coman: it's really strange, as this time I did not have any such problems [18:36]
diana_coman: yay, found the smelly murky something [18:42]
jurov: congrats [18:44]
jurov: linkier complained about class pawsNumbersPromptWindow so i added everything from src/common/paws to the project and looks it compiled now [18:46]
diana_coman: lol, using big guns [18:46]
jurov: are you sure you had no leftovers from previus eulora version? [18:46]
diana_coman: this pawsNumbersPromptWindow was the file I was talking about earlier [18:46]
diana_coman: this I had to add too [18:46]
diana_coman: uhm, the machine and msvc were the same, but otherwise new winlibs install, new paths, not exactly sure what would the leftovers be [18:47]
jurov: now it runs but fails immediately. only once i got it complaining about xml files, [19:04]
jurov: i don't see how diana ever did it. for example LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not used under win, but PATH instead [19:10]
jurov: first time after sompilation it compains about CRYSTAL. second run it crashes outright [19:13]
mod6: ok new screenshots are up for Eulora v0.1.0: http://www.mod6.net/eulora/v0.1.0/ [20:15]
mircea_popescu: :D [20:17]
mircea_popescu: mod6 do you maiuntain eulorum wiki ? or who was it ? [20:20]
mod6: oh, no. someone does, lol. not sure whom. [20:29]
mod6: i've just been keeping screenshots incase they do come in handy for said maintainer. [20:30]
mircea_popescu: mebbe it was jurov. or mike [20:31]
mod6: ah [20:39]
mod6: looks like "Jurov" has made the most recent changes: www.eulorum.org/Special:RecentChanges [20:40]
mircea_popescu: aha [20:42]
