chetty: morning [04:28]
jurov: morning. trilema down again, was anything interesting answered yest? [04:39]
chetty: I dunno, was't there [05:07]
chetty: poor trilema, this ddos stuff is really getting annoying [05:08]
mircea_popescu: danielpbarron got stuff for me ? [08:48]
mircea_popescu: jurov chetty well the log is on trilema, once it's back you can see for yourself. [10:01]
chetty: << won't hold her breath [10:04]
mircea_popescu: chetty i dunno about that, latest visitor is google feed parser maybe a minute ago. [10:42]
jurov: maybe you managed to blacklist everyone here [10:50]
mircea_popescu: possibru. /me is too lazy to look into the mitigation w/e is going on. not like it's going anywhere, give it a day or w/e. [10:53]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman test that thing in say 2 hours ? [11:14]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu I can't in 2 hours, I can in 4 hours [11:14]
mircea_popescu: 4 works. [11:14]
diana_coman: do you want me to dump all the modified files into one big file sign it and put it up? [11:15]
diana_coman: not sure how to highlight the things changed in the client's files [11:15]
mircea_popescu: diff ? [11:22]
diana_coman: to upload the result from diff or what? [11:23]
mircea_popescu: not sure how to highlight the things changed in the client's files << by using diff. [11:24]
diana_coman: yes, my question is : what do you want put on the site: all the files I created and all the files I modified? [11:25]
mircea_popescu: everything that you estimate i need in order to test. [11:25]
mircea_popescu: new files, for sure. old file diffs. [11:25]
mircea_popescu: should be about it. [11:25]
diana_coman: so old file diffs, not the whole files, yes, ok [11:25]
diana_coman: that was my question, lol [11:25]
mircea_popescu: yeah [11:25]
danielpbarron: done with the shaped slag [11:40]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu if you have any toolkit and/or bundles for sale let me know as I'll leave it to craft in a moment anyway [11:41]
chetty: server reset in 5 [12:34]
danielpbarron: is ready [12:37]
mod6: ok [12:38]
chetty: done [12:40]
chetty: srry folks need to reset again, 5 min [13:48]
danielpbarron: ready [13:51]
chetty: hopefully done messing with it today :) [13:53]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu ready when you are [15:23]
mircea_popescu: alrighty [15:25]
mircea_popescu: what do we do ? [15:26]
diana_coman: oh, lol, have a look: http://www.dianacoman.com/2015/07/27/foxys-crafting-bot/ [15:26]
diana_coman: let me know if that's what you wanted [15:27]
diana_coman: and btw, I left in it the new /pilot cmd too [15:27]
diana_coman: let me know if you don't want it in [15:27]
mircea_popescu: alrighty ima move on test box and try this thing out. you in game ? gonna use that chat. [15:28]
diana_coman: yes, ok [15:28]
danielpbarron: diana_coman, how does the bot know which quality to pull from storage? [16:05]
diana_coman: it doesn't, it's stupid [16:05]
danielpbarron: i want to use this but i'm extremely picky about which stacks i use at which times [16:05]
diana_coman: it pulls the first one [16:05]
danielpbarron: oh [16:05]
diana_coman: so then put them in your inventory [16:05]
danielpbarron: :< [16:05]
diana_coman: and it will use them from there [16:05]
danielpbarron: oh cool [16:05]
diana_coman: well, v2.0 [16:05]
diana_coman: it first takes whatever you have in inventory [16:05]
danielpbarron: ok great [16:05]
danielpbarron: nevermind then [16:05]
diana_coman: it goes to storage only if you run out of them [16:05]
danielpbarron: is there a way to make it not go to storage? [16:05]
danielpbarron: do i specify how many to craft? [16:06]
diana_coman: yeah, just stay far away from heina, lol [16:06]
diana_coman: yes [16:06]
danielpbarron: ok great [16:06]
diana_coman: craft 10 slag recipe [16:06]
danielpbarron: does it log? [16:06]
diana_coman: not yet, actually it would be great if you leave a comment there with whatever it is you'd like it to do [16:07]
diana_coman: so that I can keep track of things [16:07]
danielpbarron: k [16:08]
danielpbarron: http://www.dianacoman.com/2015/07/27/foxys-crafting-bot/#comment-87 [16:12]
diana_coman: uhm, crash meanwhile? [16:13]
diana_coman: thanks danielpbarron, I'll check in a moment [16:14]
danielpbarron: message says it was an intentional reset [16:14]
chetty: sorry folks, hopefully brief interruption of your gaming funs [16:15]
diana_coman: oh, I prolly just missed that message, no worries [16:16]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu update [16:17]
diana_coman: chetty I was talking to mp for the testing so not sure if he sees it here? [16:17]
diana_coman: danielpbarron for the log do you mean like a dump to a file? [16:19]
diana_coman: at least for the basics such as items in, it should be quite straightforward, possibly a bit more pain only to get my head around the client's own log system hoping to use that for the output/write to file part [16:20]
diana_coman: as otherwise the info is there anyway [16:20]
diana_coman: for the qualities though it can be quite awkward though, esp from cmd line [16:21]
chetty: its back [16:21]
diana_coman: thanks chetty [16:21]
diana_coman: specifying qualities sounds to me like something closer to configuration already [16:22]
diana_coman: for which it's probably better a whole new window and buttons and shit [16:22]
danielpbarron: yeah that would be cool [16:28]
danielpbarron: not just quality of the ingredients but also of the blueprints itself [16:29]
danielpbarron: and any other equipment and containers [16:29]
danielpbarron: oo, it should eventually be able to sweep everything to storage per iteration [16:30]
danielpbarron: to keep different quality loots from mixing [16:31]
danielpbarron: the most common thing this effects is the blueprints of the thing being crafted [16:31]
chetty: lmao this bot is practiacally a whole game in itself [16:31]
danielpbarron: is the bot at the moment [16:31]
danielpbarron: so if you want to consistently craft with a high quality blueprint, you must take 1 out of storage at a time, and after it is done, move the looted new blueprints into storage [16:32]
danielpbarron: otherwise they will mix in your "mind" [16:32]
danielpbarron: and the quality will average out [16:32]
danielpbarron: that's too much for me to bother with on most crafting runs [16:32]
danielpbarron: i just record my data in bursts, (all this stuff went in) -> (all this stuff came out) [16:33]
danielpbarron: but if the bot can micromanage, the data collected will be more accurate [16:34]
diana_coman: hmm, atm the recipes are the only things it does NOT take out of storage [17:03]
diana_coman: for the other ingredients it actually does take only what is needed for one craft [17:03]
diana_coman: simply because otherwise they might not fit actually [17:03]
diana_coman: danielpbarron do you have any background in data? [17:04]
diana_coman: and chetty: yeah, I was thinking a bit earlier that next thing it could do data mining too :))) [17:05]
danielpbarron: no background [17:09]
danielpbarron: not professionally that is [17:09]
diana_coman: some "data" is actually noise - quite often the trouble is precisely figuring out what is useful really and what drowns the signal as it were [17:12]
diana_coman: jurov http://trilema.com/2015/the-previous-event-the-next-event-the-forever-event/ [17:21]
lobbesbot: The previous event, the next event, the forever event. on Trilema - A blog by Mircea Popescu. (at trilema.com) [17:21]
diana_coman: trilema is up, lol [17:21]
chetty: re the article, I guess you had to be there [18:11]
diana_coman: basically mod6 was the only one to ask publicly some questions and therefore to get the answers publicly too [18:39]
diana_coman: hints about where to find crumbly rocks and slithy tove [18:39]
diana_coman: btw now I have slithy tove, I'll trade tomorrow if anyone is interested [18:39]
diana_coman: they are not exactly a bottleneck anymore for now [18:40]
