mircea_popescu: http://dpaste.com/1GF5G31 < if someone's willing to merge this into eulorum install guide [02:01]
jurov: "Navigate to /dev/cs" :) [04:33]
jurov: and, more importantly, you mean ubuntu 14.04, no? [04:39]
jurov: preppy parrot or watwasitsname [04:40]
mircea_popescu: 10.04 [04:51]
diana_coman: mornings [07:13]
diana_coman: I'm playing catch up with the eulora diary: http://www.dianacoman.com/2015/06/22/godly-yellow-lemonade-loads-of-flotsam-and-horribly-bad-maths/ [07:14]
diana_coman: if anyone still has trouble accessing that, please let me know [07:14]
diana_coman: jurov, what did you have to do in the end to get the eulora client actually running on windows? (so post-compile, to make it find all the files it needed) [07:18]
jurov: hi, see PATH in eulora.bat [07:19]
diana_coman: thanks [07:20]
jurov: multiplied velocity by 5 in the client, zippin' around, yay! [09:30]
jurov: and jumps! [09:36]
diana_coman: wow, that's cool jurov [09:50]
jurov: exclusive footage upcoming [09:50]
diana_coman: aaaand, eulora's first store opens now: http://www.dianacoman.com/Eulora/foxystore.html [09:52]
diana_coman: ha ha [09:52]
diana_coman: jurov, let me know if there is any item you need [09:53]
jurov: http://www.explo.yt/eulora/airborne1.jpg [09:54]
jurov: and up the number to 4 [09:54]
jurov: (last one is most amusing) [09:54]
diana_coman: nice :) [09:55]
diana_coman: jumping to the moon? [09:55]
diana_coman: ha ha out of bounds [09:55]
diana_coman: clearly a much better way of getting a map of the island [09:55]
diana_coman: how is the exploring/mining going, jurov? [09:58]
jurov: slowly. seems with wielded tool the building gets better results [09:59]
diana_coman: meaning higher quality or more items? [10:00]
jurov: more freebies. still getting only one item out of small claims no matter what [10:00]
diana_coman: (I explored/mined a bit yesterday with a tool but I did not notice significant improvements though I must say I did not do a lot of it) [10:00]
diana_coman: ah, I got once 2 items, lol [10:00]
diana_coman: it might be related to the skill too [10:01]
diana_coman: I don't know exactly anymore what prices the merchant gives for various basic harvestables, but surely it would pay better for you to sell them to players directly? [10:03]
diana_coman: or not? [10:03]
diana_coman: especially things such as dry grass and shiny rock, which are needed quite a lot now [10:04]
jurov: the crafting is so material-intensive that i spend it all there [10:04]
jurov: don't have so big surplus to sell [10:04]
diana_coman: ok [10:05]
jurov: what's refurbished bandar toolkit? [10:15]
diana_coman: a bandar toolkit that I've used to some extent and therefore it is of lesser quality than if I make a new one [10:23]
diana_coman: but it is not so used as to not be good at anything [10:23]
diana_coman: I just had fun calling it "refurbished", lol [10:23]
diana_coman: btw, I just got curious as to whether the quality of the final item depends solely on the characteristics of the maker at the final stages [10:24]
diana_coman: care to come to the craft table and I'll give you a bundle for some threads or something to see if you get the same quality as usual or higher? [10:24]
diana_coman: it might make sense to give people bundles too in that case perhaps [10:25]
diana_coman: or at least it makes it easier to craft [10:25]
chetty: interesting experiments you guys are up to [10:28]
diana_coman: :) [10:28]
diana_coman: so we can report back: nope, the quality of the bundle does not seem to matter really [10:32]
jurov: i have once used disgusting goop of quality 1 (the very first item i crafted), same outcome [10:35]
diana_coman: yes, me too [10:36]
diana_coman: it's a bit bizarre that the quality of items does not really seem to matter at all [10:36]
diana_coman: but I thought maybe the quality of the bundle as such would make a difference [10:36]
diana_coman: well, too bad [10:36]
diana_coman: at least it is more convenient to have the bundle than to get all the set of ingredients, I guess [10:36]
chetty: I suppose if you are good enough you can make a silk purse from a sows ear? [10:53]
diana_coman: and if you are truly bad at it, you can certainly make a sows ear from a silk purse :)) [10:55]
jurov: in the end, sill will be made from dry grass and all will be good [11:10]
jurov: *silk [11:10]
jurov: and today is coarse frangible thread day [11:12]
diana_coman: lol, that should be the quote from the server: "today is under the sign of coarse frangible thread and the weather looks nice with a blue moon showing at 3 o'clock" [11:12]
diana_coman: and updated store, now with more wares [11:19]
jurov: and discounts [11:22]
jurov: chetty, my craft table refused to make CFT "you can't go any further" and ate the bundle shortly after that [11:28]
jurov: sry i take it back bundle ended up in nearby exploration marker [11:29]
diana_coman: now the quality of items (tools and more precisely chair for the head) I make seems to be declining 1 point as I increase my tinkering level? is that something possible/meant to be, chetty? [11:29]
diana_coman: as far as I can tell I am using precisely the same ingredients really [11:29]
diana_coman: ahaha jurov [11:30]
jurov: well, since i have Attention level 51... [11:41]
diana_coman: does that ever increase? [11:41]
jurov: iirc not [11:42]
chetty: you cannot go any further often appears if you are missing something, tool/recipe [11:49]
chetty: all the variables used to calculate the quality of items may not be very obvious ... [11:50]
chetty: on the cant go any further, well it lets you do the combines to get up to a bundle even if you dont have everything needed for the final bit [11:51]
chetty: diana_coman, your quality of production might decline for other reasons, I doubt it would go down because you leveled [11:53]
diana_coman: ok, at least it can go down even with same ingredients and quality [11:53]
diana_coman: so that's not abnormal [11:53]
diana_coman: good [11:53]
diana_coman: well, kind of good :) [11:53]
chetty: :P [11:53]
jurov: aren't you tired? [11:55]
jurov: try beer [11:55]
diana_coman: ha ha, improving the crafting quality with a drink [11:55]
chetty: lo, who? [11:55]
diana_coman: not a bad idea [11:55]
jurov: mircea_popescu: at next event might be useful purposes of some items revealed [14:49]
jurov: i have no clue what is 95\% of blueprints for [14:49]
mircea_popescu: haha, anything but info. [14:49]
mircea_popescu: but anyway, iu have an idea, gonna post later. [14:59]
diana_coman: lol @ "anything but info" [15:05]
mircea_popescu: >D [15:06]
mircea_popescu: aww where she go i wanted to talk to her. [15:16]
chetty: she'll beback I'm sure [15:16]
mircea_popescu: aha. [15:17]
chetty: server reset in 5 [15:50]
chetty: done [15:58]
mod6: ok cool [15:58]
mod6: am i dead? [16:38]
mod6: all my stats are 0/100 [16:38]
mircea_popescu: maybe just lagged out [16:38]
mod6: seems to be reacting ok in the screen.. [16:38]
mod6: weird. i was 100/100 before reboot, im pretty sure. [16:39]
mod6: should i jump? [16:39]
mircea_popescu: you could. or just wait it out maybe [16:39]
mod6: ok it's all good now. i died, and now its refreshed. [16:40]
chetty: open the info window usually refreshes it if it misses an update [17:14]
mod6: built the Samovar. [18:22]
mod6: eh, i somehow crashed the server [21:17]
mod6: i was using the samovar and something went heywire. [21:23]
mod6: (lol, no i didn't attack it this time) i had put one to many Two leaf clovers in the mix, took one out. tried it again, then it failed. tried to pull items out of the samovar, which seemed to just disappear. then crash. [21:26]
mod6: i will note at the time my stats were also black again (meters full) but said 0/100 [21:26]
mod6: probably unrelated. [21:26]
mircea_popescu: well done mod6 [21:45]
mircea_popescu: o oops [21:45]
mod6: yah, :( [22:00]
mod6: now there's nothing to do but watch gcc compile. [22:00]
mircea_popescu: sucks, i was just gonna play a little ;/ [22:01]
mod6: irk [22:01]
mod6: i did make it up to tinker level 55 [22:02]
mod6: so that's helping. [22:02]
mod6: took like hours though [22:03]
mircea_popescu: o wow. [22:04]
mircea_popescu: huge tho. [22:04]
mod6: i was like rumplestitskin making twine for hours and hours [22:05]
