[08:24] Diana Coman: so much for my remarkable claim, it's already turned to dust
[23:46] Vivian Sporepress: remarkable dust, apparently coming with around a 5M hit to the environment.
[23:51] Vivian Sporepress: I guess that makes it at once the biggest gain and biggest loss to date
Day changed to 2026-05-02
[08:51] Diana Coman: quite so. For a truly complete experience!
[08:53] Diana Coman: or perhaps just part and parcel of the aptly named Shadowy Morass of Fortune place
Day changed to 2026-05-04
[10:18] Diana Coman: interesting: found the SS finally but it turns out that my char can now occasionally "miss" entirely at that spot (and it's a clear miss as opposed to "nothing here")
[15:36] Diana Coman: at least the tlc spot is more reliable by the looks of it
[15:42] Diana Coman: http://ossasepia.com/2026/04/01/Eulora-2-Logs-for-Apr-2026/#5405 - Raphael Nethersmell, can trade on the coords of these now (dcs, ss, tlc). From the e1 list I'm still missing giant's rotten canine, homunculus, magical/enchanted dungbeetle, minty toothpaste tube, pacademia nut, petrified bubble and slithy tove. For the rest I've found at least one instance (even if dm is among others only, so it's not a guaranteed hit every time).
[15:42] Ulrich Logfetch: Quoting 2026-04-23 (Eulora 2) Raphael Nethersmell: meant to say, I didn't manage to find any ss or dcs yet, would consider buying some, but would prefer to buy or trade for cords.
[17:15] Vivian Sporepress: my medium-high res scan here has continued without much excitement; there were some occasional WPL and also some "miss" spots (neither resource nor lbn)
[17:22] Diana Coman: does anyone know Percival Platepress to give them a wot-rate perhaps?
[17:25] Diana Coman: Vivian Sporepress, are those miss spots with Work starting or without? I think I counted as "nothing here" when no Work starts (though generally there is a lbn obtained) and as a "miss" when Work starts but no claim comes out of it (again, generally 1 lbn is obtained, still)
[17:31] Vivian Sporepress: ah, perhaps mine are simply comms trouble then; haven't seen any lbn popping up in a while. I don't know Percival Platepress at least by that name
[20:08] Monroe Quarterslit: Diana Coman, please group items together in exactly TWO stacks only.
Day changed to 2026-05-05
[08:14] Percival Platepress: why are the only bots list takeall and stackall
[08:15] Diana Coman: welcome Percival Platepress
[08:18] Diana Coman: you likely have only the bootstrap client that gets installed first when you run the install script. You can update it to the latest if you exit the game, maybe back up your data dir somewhere first and then run the update_eulora.sh script (*not* the install script).
[08:24] Diana Coman: you'll even get the very latest with that, meaning this freshly deployed client version that integrates item values and markups when and as they become known.
[08:24] Ulrich Logfetch: Quoting 2026-05-05 (Notices and Announcements) Monroe Quarterslit: ** Newly deployed client takes advantage of newly provided information from reference merchants to automatically extract, store and use value related information on items. Such knowledge is fully integrated with any existing knowledge maps and further used to provide a view of total value as known for one's own inventory as well as for the full contents of any container and any exchange, including markups. **
[08:27] Diana Coman: on a separate note for the log, newcomers might want to find first in game a PC they know and ask them for a rate so that they can send lines in here. (To be able to rate someone, one needs to at least have an id for them, hence the need to actually meet at least once.)
[19:01] Raphael Nethersmell: http://ossasepia.com/2026/05/01/Eulora-2-Logs-for-May-2026/#5490 -- yes, I do, I'll rate him.

[19:25] Raphael Nethersmell: http://ossasepia.com/2026/05/01/Eulora-2-Logs-for-May-2026/#5487 -- the only one on that list that I have coords for that you don't is ed. the closest in value of which is tlc. deal ?

[19:32] Diana Coman: Raphael Nethersmell, deal on tlc for ed.
[19:35] Diana Coman: I've rated Percival Platepress so his line made it into the chat but a rating based on knowing him irl is even better for sure. You'll still need to have him in range for the rate to go through.
[19:43] Diana Coman: Raphael Nethersmell, http://jfxpt.com/paste/aumiy5aczg
[19:48] Rainer Tracksnarl: Raphael Nethersmell, that's worth about 872 shells more than what you're offering.
[21:15] Raphael Nethersmell: Diana Coman, got it, thanks, here you go : http://jfxpt.com/paste/j329kt4v7z

[00:18] Rainer Tracksnarl: Raphael Nethersmell, that's worth about 28 shells more than what you're offering.
[00:25] Raphael Nethersmell: http://ossasepia.com/2026/05/01/Eulora-2-Logs-for-May-2026/#5509 -- Diana Coman, fyi, for this trade, when I loaded the 238 cdg q1 in the escrow, it quoted me 142 shell. I loaded 1 bone + 42 shell in the other side and it failed which this error. I ran it backnd loaded 2 bone in my offer. it gave me the 238 cdg q1 + 30 shell as change, which I accepted.
[00:25] Ulrich Logfetch: Quoting 2026-05-06 (Eulora 2) Rainer Tracksnarl: Raphael Nethersmell, that's worth about 28 shells more than what you're offering.
[08:22] Diana Coman: Raphael Nethersmell, got the ed spot data, thanks. It turns out it was in one of those sectors where the bot got interrupted and I didn't bother to re-start it on the remaining empty patches, heh.
[08:27] Diana Coman: thanks for the report on that trade, that 28 shells difference is exactly the 20% markup in fact so for some reason it seems to have calculated the total with 100% rather than 120%. When you say it quoted, I assume you meant the total as shown by the client currently, is this correct? I'll check again that part, as it sounds like the client using the default markup although there should be the correct one exposed by Rainer Tracksnarl, too
[09:04] Diana Coman: looking at the code clientside, it does use the markup as given when it has it and it defaults to 100% when it doesn't have it so it's possible it was just missing the info there (some delay or comms-related miss). Not quite sure yet what's the best way to handle this, especially since it needs to work for the general case where there might be several items and each of them might have their own markup, not necessarily the same. Perhaps being in an exchange it should rather insist on actual instead of default values and show pending until it gets them rather than showing an incorrect value but then the total will be less responsive and potentially annoying
[09:04] Diana Coman: maybe showing qabv and then qabv with markup both would work better, I'll give it a bit more thought
[22:07] Nestor Nethercross: Ulrich Logfetch where are you?
[22:07] Ulrich Logfetch: Nestor Nethercross, I am currently at 6.15 99.44 9.05 in Preposterously Prosperous Place

[11:28] Diana Coman: http://ossasepia.com/2026/05/01/Eulora-2-Logs-for-May-2026/#5510 - it turns out that in fact Rainer Tracksnarl was not being quite truthful with his markup for items in the Receive part of an exchange. It got fixed now, so the total(s) should include the correct markups in exchanges from now on (only do note that the display of numbers is aimed to save space so you are generally better off rounding up the number shown, e.g. 1.6k can be exactly 1600 but it can also be anything up to 1699). I'll consider it sorted for now, so do let me know if you still have any trouble with it.
