Birdman: have 105 worn tools mircea_popescu [00:12]
Birdman: i need a congressional pulp bp as soon as anyone can get me it [00:25]
Birdman: didnt pop more out as expected [00:25]
danielpbarron: i have that [00:26]
Birdman: cool cool [00:26]
Birdman: far as it goes without it i've nothing to do [00:27]
Birdman: no tools right now [00:27]
Birdman: just ping me when you're on your way to town or something ill be around [00:27]
danielpbarron: ah, i think it's possible i'm not running a binary of the newly compiled thing [00:49]
Birdman: what are you using your bbb for [01:17]
danielpbarron: idk [01:19]
Birdman: ill buy em [01:21]
danielpbarron: C++ ./out/linuxx86/optimize/src/client/gui/pawsexchangewindow.o [01:31]
danielpbarron: arg even when it's using the new binary it still won't lock smalls [02:23]
diana_coman: danielpbarron, I took the release version 1.3 and changed so that the block is now: if (!from from->stackCount < quantity) { //not enough items to build claim, so just move on (don't lock tinies and smalls!!!) worldHandler::PicklockEID(markerID); noBuild = true; return true; } [04:23]
diana_coman: and it locked even tinies [04:23]
diana_coman: when I don't have in inventory bits of nothing or threads [04:24]
diana_coman: is that the change you made ? [04:24]
diana_coman: and yes, if you give it 0 as number of threads to use on a small, than indeed it would not lock it as it thinks it has enough to build, of course [04:25]
diana_coman: if your connection lags for some reason, it might basically lose some messages on the way and in that case the behaviour of the client is rather unpredictable; if you think that's the case, you can perhaps try to give it a larger maxDelay parameter as that's what it waits between the steps pretty much [04:27]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu> so it's confirmed : if lag (as per /ping) is over 500ms, the bot fails to read the recipe, reports "empty ingredient list" and the bp detail window pops. <- of course [04:27]
diana_coman: that's how long the bot waits until it checks for the bp contents; the point is that I preferred to leave it that way as it is in the very beginning and the user can see it and correct it; having the bot try to deal with delays means that it will probably get stuck at some point if the message is simply lost and this while the user thinks it's fine [04:29]
diana_coman: <danielpbarron> 2167 on toolkit and yes 2933 on samovar <- if this is your decay on toolkits, it's quite interesting really, as mine is 2172, I just checked it again [05:01]
diana_coman: so it seems to be different, maybe based on skill or maybe based on character, no idea [05:02]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman yeah i think ima add more delay in there if i need it. [08:54]
Birdman: danielpbarron are you around for those tubers [13:01]
Birdman: If anyone has low q bbb i'd buy [13:17]
mircea_popescu: how much you need ? [13:19]
Birdman: 200 should do [13:20]
mircea_popescu: aite lemme finish this run ill give a looksee. prolly got em [13:21]
Birdman: thanks [13:21]
Birdman: might have two noobs on the way [13:24]
mircea_popescu: cool [13:25]
Birdman: so what is the wait looking like on getting toolkits and samovars? [13:30]
mircea_popescu: at least a week out any new production. [13:31]
Birdman: who is the #2 tinkerer [13:32]
Birdman: and are they able to get some of this stuff done? [13:32]
mircea_popescu: either danielpbarron or diana_coman i would guess [13:34]
diana_coman: it's prolly me from what I saw [13:34]
mircea_popescu: prolly won't want to make samovars because of the st issue. maybe toolkits [13:34]
Birdman: what are you working on diana_coman? i need alot of stuff made if you need the work [13:35]
danielpbarron: a lot of stuff is held up on high quality moss [13:40]
Birdman: im just entirely held up as of right now [13:45]
Birdman: i guess i could just tinker some grass in the meantime [13:45]
Birdman: I'd also pay 3k per pss small enums from either danielpbarron or diana_coman [13:50]
Birdman: ehh ltf is needed in low q right? [13:57]
Birdman: if anyone has decent or high q bark shavings i'd buy em [13:58]
mircea_popescu: about 55k sold this week lol [14:00]
danielpbarron: i would also like high quality flasks [14:02]
mircea_popescu: ill make some if you feed me low q ibs rope and goop [14:05]
Birdman: are bbb in supply in any quality high or low? and how about ecv [14:18]
diana_coman: Birdman, I have bbb in quite reasonable quantities [14:24]
Birdman: i'd like to buy em [14:24]
diana_coman: Birdman, what do you need done exactly? [14:24]
Birdman: tinkering books and some rare supps [14:24]
diana_coman: aha, so bouq work you mean? [14:24]
Birdman: amoung other things i guess, bbb is used alot [14:24]
diana_coman: kk, 2 min to check wares [14:25]
Birdman: thanks, and ecv would be awesome too [14:25]
diana_coman: hmmm, I have some of that, but it might even be quite high q [14:25]
Birdman: and i'd pay you 250k for 5 uses of your samovar if that interests you [14:26]
Birdman: high q is fine [14:26]
diana_coman: Birdman, 737 bbb at 128q, 245 at 133q and then I'd need to get all the rest sorted out a bit to say exactly what and how much [14:28]
Birdman: that is a good start [14:29]
Birdman: ill take it for now [14:29]
diana_coman: I can make some tinkering books for sure, not a problem there [14:30]
diana_coman: how many do you want? [14:30]
diana_coman: trade me for the beans [14:30]
Birdman: i can make em easily myself and all of them that you took out [14:32]
Birdman: oh [14:32]
Birdman: i needed beetle brews [14:32]
Birdman: ehh my bad [14:32]
Birdman: diana_coman [14:32]
diana_coman: ...... [14:32]
diana_coman: the brews [14:33]
diana_coman: aha, I'd need to make them [14:33]
diana_coman: trouble is that I'd need flasks [14:34]
diana_coman: uhm [14:34]
diana_coman: I'll get back in half an hour and have a look then [14:34]
Birdman: i can make flasks [14:34]
Birdman: kk [14:34]
diana_coman: 2 supps of murky delights at 159q, 1 of rocks at 160q, 1 of old lists at 160q, 2 of uppity chickens at 159q; don't know whether danielpbarron or hanbot are also interested in those [14:41]
danielpbarron: i'd buy, sure [15:15]
danielpbarron: also i have flasks and beetle brews [15:17]
diana_coman: so then why doesn't Birdman buy them from you? [15:20]
danielpbarron: maybe he doesn't like my prices [15:22]
diana_coman: aha [15:22]
diana_coman: anyway he vanished meanwhile, lol [15:23]
diana_coman: Birdman, when you are back: turns out I *could* brew some 100 beetles, but I'll have to figure the price based on samovar = rare thing as atm I really rather make ALL samovars into toothpaste to get sticks to find the slithy tove [15:24]
diana_coman: on the bright side though, I will start a run of making toolkits in the end, as I'll undercraft them anyway [15:26]
diana_coman: well, make that, I'll start the run *when* I get some worn out adzes too, lol [15:29]
danielpbarron: i think somehow i managed to recompile euclient several times without it actually updating the binary [15:36]
danielpbarron: finally got it to throw an error in gdb [15:36]
danielpbarron: over my incorrect use of some string printing function [15:37]
diana_coman: if you want it to print some stuff in the console, you are prolly better off with Notify1(LOG_USER, "Bla bla") [15:37]
danielpbarron: one of those cases where fatal error is a good thing [15:37]
diana_coman: ha, true [15:37]
danielpbarron: i used whatever you had used to print stuff in the foxybot log window; I just wanted to see if it was even getting to the new code or not [15:39]
diana_coman: ah, the OutputMsg thing [15:39]
diana_coman: kk, sure [15:39]
danielpbarron: wow I think I had somehow pasted who knows what into botactivity.cpp [16:59]
danielpbarron: line 500something was 600something instead [17:00]
danielpbarron: or maybe not [17:01]
danielpbarron: ugh I have to wait so long inbetween adjustments [17:04]
danielpbarron: diff says there is a difference between two files but i just don't see it [17:07]
danielpbarron: i hate computers [17:07]
danielpbarron: trying the whole thing from scratch [17:07]
danielpbarron: this time i used vim to copy and paste an identical line into place [17:08]
diana_coman: danielpbarron, on a compiled version you can just compile the things you changed, not all of it again [17:13]
danielpbarron: how's that [17:13]
diana_coman: ftjam -q euclient [17:13]
danielpbarron: and with that it'll just update the preexisting binary? [17:14]
diana_coman: if you use -a it basically means "all" so it recompiles everything [17:14]
diana_coman: with that it means it recompiles only what you changed and then it links all the stuff again [17:15]
diana_coman: but it's waaaay faster [17:15]
danielpbarron: yeah i can imagine [17:15]
danielpbarron: defo doing that next time [17:15]
danielpbarron: still gonna let this one finish [17:15]
mircea_popescu: learning to fuck around with computer's not a bad use of time anyway. [17:41]
mircea_popescu: frustrating, yeah. [17:41]
danielpbarron: once i get the hang of modifying euclient i'll probably start making my own commands [17:48]
mircea_popescu: kinda why it makes sense to bother in the first place. [17:48]
danielpbarron: for example, would be nice to have a way to dump to txt file a list of the contents of storage [17:48]
mircea_popescu: can do that yea [17:48]
diana_coman: heh danielpbarron I basically did that some time ago and I asked whether anyone wanted it but since nobody did... [17:49]
diana_coman: but yes, the best thing is to be able to tweak it as you want it really [17:49]
danielpbarron: or a command to do what i now do manually which is meticulously stack and move and stack different qualities so that I can end up merging it all without losing any value to the floor() function [17:49]
mircea_popescu: yup [17:50]
danielpbarron: and a command to just pull all of whichever item from storage (for getting those really heavy things out) [17:50]
diana_coman: enjoys this list of danielpbarron's - quite reminds me of something [17:51]
danielpbarron: these are the things that waste the most of my time [17:51]
mircea_popescu: you can;t believe how many coders learned to code doing game mods [17:52]
mircea_popescu: of the good ones, at any rate. [17:52]
danielpbarron: that's me i guess [17:52]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu> you can;t believe how many coders learned to code doing game mods <- either that or basically making some small game of their own out of boredom/frustration with what is on offer, lol [17:53]
danielpbarron: i remember making my own memory arrays in starcraft maps [17:53]
mircea_popescu: aha [17:53]
danielpbarron: hey! the new binary didn't crash [18:04]
danielpbarron: currently on splash screen [18:04]
mircea_popescu: :) [18:04]
danielpbarron: i was nervous because i thought i recognized the value it hashed to [18:04]
danielpbarron: grr, it didn't lock a tiny [18:08]
danielpbarron: not that my goal is to lock tinies, but it still should anyway [18:09]
Chettii: x [19:00]
mircea_popescu: heya Chettii [19:01]
Chettii: lo [19:01]
danielpbarron: huh, thing won't even print the messages i put in there; makes me think my changes aren't even getting used for some reason [19:16]
thestringpuller: Chettii: how you feeling? [19:23]
Chettii: lo and slow [19:27]
danielpbarron: well good news is it found and locked an ordinary so there's that [19:56]
danielpbarron: now to see if it was possible to recompile from the working directory while the game was running [19:57]
mircea_popescu: it's possible, you'll have to restart it to take effect tho [19:59]
Birdman: did you end up having any ecv diana_coman [20:00]
danielpbarron: ok so my changes are not making it into the binary [20:00]
danielpbarron: so the question is, how do i get changes to take effect? [20:03]
mircea_popescu: are you actually using the produced binary ? [20:03]
danielpbarron: the sha512 hash on it doesn't change [20:03]
danielpbarron: so probably not [20:03]
mircea_popescu: 395*14305 *1.25 = 7063093.75 [20:15]
hanbot: tyvm [20:16]
mircea_popescu: cheers [20:16]
mircea_popescu: did youi need thread too ? [20:16]
mircea_popescu: 515 * 1.53 * 1.25 * 180 = 177288.75 [20:17]
mircea_popescu: 809 * 212 + 97 * 335 = 204003 [20:24]
Birdman: so who's got the bn&g for me [21:00]
Birdman: whose [21:01]
mircea_popescu: the who ? [21:02]
Birdman: i was right the first time heh, and bird's nest & gin [21:02]
mircea_popescu: well... that takes a lot of cooking, and some clover. [21:03]
Birdman: Just feeling out if anyone already has some they want to sell [21:04]
Birdman: so when a skill book is created does it enter the loot pool [21:41]
Birdman: Hello Marti_ [23:30]
Birdman: hello again Marti__ [23:43]
Marti_: Sal [23:44]
Birdman: Are you a new player? [23:47]
Marti__: not exactly [23:48]
mircea_popescu: lol. hey there :D [23:48]
Marti_: hiya MP [23:49]
Birdman: I could use a few hundred high q pointed slags [23:51]
mircea_popescu: is making dg. and will, for a few days lol [23:56]
Birdman: where are all the tinkerers [23:58]
Birdman: starting to feel like im top tier or something >_> [23:58]
