June 27th, 2015 by Diana Coman
chetty: server reset in 5 [12:07]
chetty: done, back up [12:14]
diana_coman: hi chetty [12:15]
diana_coman: did I set the cheat flat again? [12:15]
diana_coman: I've been playing a bit around with automated movement but in a less ...drastic way than teleport [12:15]
chetty: ah well that thing messing with velocity, I need to work on a way to to do something with that [12:17]
chetty: true you dont seem to be setting of the alarm so often now, like you have slowed down some [12:17]
chetty: I{m all for some autoated movement but that speed stuff is kinda outta bounds [12:18]
diana_coman: hmm, is it still setting the flag though? [12:19]
diana_coman: hmmm [12:20]
diana_coman: that "forward" movement mode from the server [12:20]
diana_coman: as far as I understood, the client loads in the beginning the movement modes from the server [12:20]
diana_coman: and I was just trying to use though [12:21]
diana_coman: I don't see why would that set the flag [12:21]
diana_coman: as they are essentially those used by existing functions of movement anyway [12:21]
diana_coman: so it's a bit odd [12:21]
chetty: well I have been looking around for a good way to put some brakes on it [12:37]
diana_coman: that's ok, I got that and I am looking at a different way of moving around that is automated but NOT faster than usual movement or anything [12:38]
chetty: cool, I am all for that [12:38]
diana_coman: but that's why I was just trying now to understand whether this new approach ALSO sets the flags or not [12:39]
diana_coman: did I set the flags again in these past 10-15 minutes? [12:39]
chetty: oh, well they dont actually do anything, and I have to go looking for them too, but let me see I'll look at the last big of logs [12:40]
diana_coman: oh, ok, I thought they would just pop up or something [12:40]
chetty: well I am logging a lot of stuff, and no you didnt actually trigger one [12:40]
diana_coman: cool :) [12:40]
diana_coman: I was using the same movement types that existing functions use and that's why I was a bit surprised when you said earlier that I was still setting the flag [12:41]
diana_coman: thanks [12:41]
jurov: mod6 dropped ennumerations and pickaxe near the fountain? [15:28]
jurov: and elsewhere, why? [15:29]
jurov: all over the map [15:37]
chetty: odd [15:58]
mod6: yeah, i went on a mining rampage. [16:00]
mod6: seems i can get only small claims - so i just dumped most of 'em [16:00]
mod6: figured they'd just get swept up [16:00]
chetty: geeze I am happy when I get a small [16:00]
mod6: but maybe i just didn't understand. [16:00]
chetty: I normally only get tiny. if that [16:00]
mod6: so yeah, i made a mess lol [16:01]
mod6: want me to go pick 'em all up? [16:01]
mod6: or bring 'em to one location? [16:01]
chetty: well hopefully the weeper will clean it up, if not I'll see what needs fixin [16:01]
chetty: there is a sweeper that is supposed to go around and clean up the litter every so often, but I am finding it needs a bit of tweaking, things I didnt think of when I build it [16:03]
jurov: lol *i* swept the [16:03]
jurov: them [16:04]
mod6: ah ok. i'd say 95\% of the claims are unused. [16:04]
mod6: for me, a lot of this game consists of seeing what's possible at this point. :] [16:04]
mod6: maybe i go a bit overboard. [16:04]
chetty: I think thats true for all of us :) [16:05]
mod6: i made one stone pick axe... which cost me a fair amount of damage to my new tool kit I created. so i mined a bunch with that, then bought two more to see what's out there. [16:07]
mod6: i was kinda trying to level up my mining [16:07]
chetty: cool [16:07]
chetty: I need todo that ... [16:08]
mod6: i guess i could hvae just dumped everything in the storage... but i thought there was something to the fact that the claim would be gone used/un-used in like a day or two anyway. [16:08]
chetty: only if you leave it unlocked [16:09]
jurov: mod6 it and why only claims and no keys? [16:09]
jurov: also, if you don't mine small claims, what kind you do? [16:09]
mod6: oh there are keys [16:09]
jurov: i found only scrolls [16:10]
mod6: they might not be in the same place though [16:10]
chetty: hahahaha its a treasure hunt [16:10]
mod6: you thought i'd make it easy for the scavengers? [16:10]
mod6: haha :] [16:10]
mod6: jurov> also, if you don't mine small claims, what kind you do? << i did do some small claims. i actually was impressed some of the outputs [16:11]
mod6: i bought 200 coarse cords to use for them [16:11]
mod6: anyway, was hoping i'd run into some ordinary ones or maybe something bigger. [16:16]
mod6: no such luck. [16:16]
mod6: like i said, seeing what was possible. [16:16]
jurov: what level gathering do you have? [16:18]
mod6: 27 [16:19]
mod6: err 28 [16:19]
jurov: lol i have 32 and found maybe one or two larger claims [16:20]
jurov: i thought you dumped the keys under the ship like before but no [16:21]
jurov: and i feel foxy's eyes on me [16:21]
diana_coman: I still get quite a lot of small claims too and I'm higher than that, so ... [16:21]
diana_coman: btw jurov, have you found all the rare types? [16:22]
diana_coman: ha ha jurov [16:22]
jurov: how can i know? [16:22]
diana_coman: don't worry, I've already found on my own the precious three pointed thorns :p [16:22]
diana_coman: well, the rare ones are those at the merchant [16:22]
diana_coman: I mean: all harvestables + lumber + mining 1 [16:23]
diana_coman: are to be found in claims [16:23]
diana_coman: have you found all? [16:23]
diana_coman: or at least that's my measure, lol [16:23]
mod6: < jurov> i thought you dumped the keys under the ship like before but no << i did, but i checked on them last week. they must have been swept up [16:25]
jurov: diana_coman: only one item from lumber/mining each [16:26]
jurov: and no tubers nor crumbly rock, either [16:27]
diana_coman: I've found the thorns, spicy moss, putrid leather and swarming grub [16:27]
diana_coman: but yeah, there are still quite many to find [16:27]
diana_coman: no wooly mushroom either [16:28]
diana_coman: ah, and better bitterbeans [16:28]
diana_coman: I think they are rare [16:28]
