diana_coman: mircea_popescu, 1339 grass 203q [09:00]
mircea_popescu: nb [09:00]
diana_coman: seems to actually work on the positive so far, meaning that this is the surplus I can easily sell and still feel comfortable about my own cft/cdg stocks [09:01]
mircea_popescu: lemme finish this btk run (coupla hours) then ill start on itr [09:01]
diana_coman: sure, I'll set foxy on some more exploring anyway [09:01]
mircea_popescu: cool. [09:04]
PeterL: http://bit-box.org/blog/?p=5 << seems to be missing a step between 3 and 4 - what do you do after downloading thing? what windows program knows how to extract a .7z file? [11:41]
shinohai: Only draft PeterL, still needs massaging and more crayon [11:42]
mircea_popescu: ya srsly, screenshots! [11:42]
mircea_popescu: danielpbarron ready, pick up ? [11:42]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman also ready, trade ? [11:42]
diana_coman: ah, can do, 1 min to take it out [11:43]
mircea_popescu: so 1339 @ 203. [11:45]
mircea_popescu: will get back to you with the cft. [11:45]
shinohai: As I said, needs more crayon for folks who don't know how to 7z I guess [11:45]
mircea_popescu: !~calc (1339 * 203 + 5000 * 9) / (1339 + 5000) [11:45]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: (1339 * 203 + 5000 * 9) / (1339 + 5000) = 49.97901877267708 [11:45]
mircea_popescu: !~calc (1339 * 203 + 4990 * 9) / (1339 + 4990) [11:46]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: (1339 * 203 + 4990 * 9) / (1339 + 4990) = 50.04376678780218 [11:46]
mircea_popescu: !~calc (1339 * 203 + 4997 * 9) / (1339 + 4997) [11:46]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: (1339 * 203 + 4997 * 9) / (1339 + 4997) = 49.99842171717172 [11:46]
mircea_popescu: !~calc (1339 * 203 + 4996 * 9) / (1339 + 4996) [11:46]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: (1339 * 203 + 4996 * 9) / (1339 + 4996) = 50.00489344909234 [11:46]
diana_coman: lol, gets spammy [11:46]
mircea_popescu: myeah. [11:46]
mircea_popescu: shinohai would you consider adding an eulora special calculator ? [11:46]
mircea_popescu: i can spec it for you if you will ; very useful for eulora. [11:47]
mircea_popescu: !~calc 6335/3 [11:47]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: 6335/3 = 2111.6666666666665 [11:47]
mircea_popescu: !~calc 2111-1857 [11:48]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: 2111-1857 = 254 [11:48]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman coming out q 125. that suck ? [11:49]
diana_coman: hm, on the low side indeed [11:50]
diana_coman: will take it for now anyway [11:50]
diana_coman: and then run the numbers to see where it's at [11:50]
mircea_popescu: i can you realise make it higher also. [11:52]
mircea_popescu: if you'd prefer. i just mix less 9 into it. [11:52]
mircea_popescu: can pretty much get exact q, i guess, or at any rate with some trial and error. [11:53]
diana_coman: so hm, you get 446 cft out of that grass, meaning 446*1.8*180*1.25 = 180k while the grass was 1339*2.03*60*1.5 = 245k? [11:53]
diana_coman: aha, so let me get this batch at 125q for now so that I have a reference point there and then try to track it all the way; it's a bit of a mess because I haven't really figured out with some reasonable clarity where is the threshold for overbuilding [11:55]
shinohai: ok mircea_popescu send me specs and we'll see what can be done. [11:56]
mircea_popescu: aitefinishingthis artiocle and will do. [11:57]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman it's not a "out of that grass" sorta thing. you can have the whole output. [11:57]
mircea_popescu: ie turn your 1.3k grass into 2.1k cft. [11:57]
danielpbarron: mircea_popescu, i can pick up within this hour, let me know if that works [12:19]
mircea_popescu: works, say when [12:20]
mircea_popescu: ie, now ? [12:20]
mircea_popescu: danielpbarron ? [12:20]
PeterL: mircea_popescu I still have all the grass you gave me, but I seem to be missing the crafting table [12:21]
mircea_popescu: PeterL oh you ready to roll ? sweet, come by me i'll give you another table. [12:21]
PeterL: I'm at town, where are you? [12:21]
mircea_popescu: by heina [12:21]
PeterL: hmm, running on widows now, seems to crash alot [12:22]
mircea_popescu: tsk. [12:22]
mircea_popescu: is it also very slow ? [12:23]
danielpbarron: mircea_popescu, no i gotta get to my comp and then make my way to town [12:25]
mircea_popescu: ah kk. ping me when, ill be around. [12:25]
mircea_popescu: ah i see you PeterL. come over, im in front of ya [12:25]
mircea_popescu: PeterL dropped a table right by ytou [12:28]
mircea_popescu: ima move away so you can take it [12:28]
mircea_popescu: there you go. lemme know when done. [12:28]
PeterL: getting about 11 fps, but I am also running just about every program on my computer at once, still much better than trying to run it through a VM [12:35]
PeterL: and the bot works now. Yay! [12:36]
mircea_popescu: yay [12:45]
danielpbarron: mircea_popescu, almost in town [12:49]
mircea_popescu: aite. [12:49]
mircea_popescu: ima line them up [12:49]
mircea_popescu: !~calc 67.2 * 10 * 4.5 [12:50]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: 67.2 * 10 * 4.5 = 3024 [12:50]
mircea_popescu: ok this is epic. [12:50]
danielpbarron: what's that? [12:51]
danielpbarron: it comes out to 3.024 mn right? [12:51]
mircea_popescu: yea [12:52]
mircea_popescu: ty [12:53]
mircea_popescu: far enough ? [12:53]
danielpbarron: ty [12:53]
mircea_popescu: my pleasure [12:54]
danielpbarron: aaaaannnd it fits in storage yay [12:54]
mircea_popescu: ") [12:54]
mircea_popescu: so shinohai : what i want is [13:01]
mircea_popescu: !~bundle xqy zqk l m [13:01]
mircea_popescu: the response is supposed to solve the (x * y + z * k) / (x + z) equation so that the result is the closest possible fit to a whole number ~from the top~ (ie, 50.004 not 49.999) and report l cases on either side of m. [13:01]
mircea_popescu: so with an example, in the case we have above, instead of <mircea_popescu> !~calc (1339 * 203 + 5000 * 9) / (1339 + 5000) i'd have said !~bundle 5000q9 13339q203 1 50 and it would have answered "50 : (1339 * 203 + 4996 * 9)" [13:01]
mircea_popescu: had i instead said !~bundle 5000q9 13339q203 3 48 it'd have answered with something like "45 : (1339 * 203 + blabla * 9) ; 46 : (1339 * 203 + blabla * 9) ; 47 : " etc. too lazy to do the math, but you get the idea. [13:01]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: Error: "bundle" is not a valid command. [13:01]
mircea_popescu: not yet you little slut you :D [13:01]
shinohai: lol [13:01]
shinohai: takes notes [13:03]
PeterL: client crashes when I minimize the window [13:35]
jurov: huh that's a new one [13:43]
shinohai: mircea_popescu: I think is3nn finally got fixed, can you make him an account when you have a sec? [15:02]
is3nn: yep [15:03]
mircea_popescu: aha sure. [15:03]
mircea_popescu: shinohai seems no key reg'd ? [15:14]
shinohai: lemme check with him [15:17]
shinohai: ok looks like he is good to go mircea_popescu [15:40]
diana_coman: kind reminder: server coming down in ~ 25 minutes for the usual Wednesday evening update [15:43]
shinohai: Do hateful reminders cost extra? They are more fun. [15:58]
jurov: shinohai: i can sell you some. Just 5 bitcents! [16:04]
diana_coman: lol shinohai [16:15]
diana_coman: server back on [16:15]
diana_coman: mircea_popescu, are you still buying low q (6, 9) feelingses? [16:17]
PeterL: how long is server down? [16:19]
PeterL: nm, reading to end of log is hard [16:19]
PeterL: mircea_popescu, diana_coman the bot keeps saying "item not yet ready and not yet in time out" even though it is done crafting? [16:29]
diana_coman: what do you mean by "done crafting"? [16:30]
PeterL: well, it made the thread I was crafting, is sitting on table [16:30]
PeterL: but bot says it is not done? [16:30]
diana_coman: was that made before the shutdown? [16:30]
PeterL: I started it back up after the shutdown [16:31]
diana_coman: it basically did not realise it was ready; I recommend you just reset it now and start it again (take first everything from the table though) [16:31]
diana_coman: otherwise leave it on and it will recover when it timeouts eventually [16:31]
PeterL: I did reset it [16:31]
PeterL: each piece it is picking up at timeout, instead of when it finishes [16:32]
PeterL: I guess I could lower the timeout amount, but I wonder why it is not recognizing it is done, or do I just misunderstand what it is supposed to be doing? [16:33]
diana_coman: weird, that means it's still missing /dropping some packages [16:33]
diana_coman: the bot "recognises" that the item is done based on some messages it expects when the thing is done; if those packages are lost/dropped, then it's kind of stuck [16:33]
diana_coman: that's the reason for the timeout in the first place: to recover from this situation [16:34]
PeterL: should it happen with every item crafted? [16:34]
diana_coman: from what you say, it seems that in your case this situation is very frequent [16:34]
diana_coman: well, it "should" never happen, lol [16:34]
PeterL: every single one is waiting until timeout [16:34]
diana_coman: so check your lag for one thing [16:34]
diana_coman: did you start the client in command line? [16:35]
PeterL: ping is 68 [16:35]
diana_coman: you can look there to see if it complains that some queues are full [16:35]
PeterL: yes, started with the command line [16:35]
PeterL: where would it complain? [16:35]
diana_coman: in the command line [16:35]
PeterL: nothing here in the command line (windows) [16:36]
diana_coman: ugh [16:36]
diana_coman: I guess for now at least I don't really have other solution than setting the timeout close(r) to how long it actually takes to make the thing [16:37]
diana_coman: if you want to make a test otherwise to see if something is borked with the bot rather than the messages, you could do this: [16:38]
diana_coman: 1. /bot reset 2. make sure that your skills window is *closed* 3. start the bot on something with a long timeout 4. open the skills window (stats and skills) [16:39]
diana_coman: see if bot takes the thing [16:40]
diana_coman: it's not full proof in the sense that it might still miss the mod message, but at least with that you kind of guarantee it has one piece it expects (if the window opens) [16:40]
PeterL: mircea_popescu (status report) I have made about 700 threads and 21k feelings, this should be done sometime tomorrow. [16:42]
mircea_popescu: PeterL nicely done. [16:42]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman : your cft is pretty much done ; you here to pick up ? [16:43]
mircea_popescu: is3nn will send you credentials shortly [16:43]
diana_coman: yes mircea_popescu [16:44]
mircea_popescu: so lessee here ; [16:44]
mircea_popescu: !~calc 2111 * 180 * 1.25 * 1.8 - 1339 * 60 * 2.03 * 1.5 [16:45]
jhvh1: mircea_popescu: 2111 * 180 * 1.25 * 1.8 - 1339 * 60 * 2.03 * 1.5 = 610319.7 [16:45]
mircea_popescu: this is so fucken cool... [16:45]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman 30 clicks to go ; 3 minutes. [16:47]
diana_coman: ok, ping me when ready [16:47]
mircea_popescu: is3nn http://wotpaste.cascadianhacker.com/pastes/uo3x5/?raw=true [16:48]
mircea_popescu: diana_coman ping [16:50]
diana_coman: thanks [16:51]
mircea_popescu: what sort of q would you rather like to see ? [16:51]
diana_coman: higher, but I need to do a few runs and come up with something more concrete as in a reasonable range [16:52]
mircea_popescu: aite lemme know [16:52]
diana_coman: atm I can only say that I went with 220q and it went great [16:52]
diana_coman: but that's not much help [16:52]
mircea_popescu: yeah, i won't likely make any 200s. but bumping up to say 150 is feasible. [16:53]
diana_coman: yeah, question is whether the difference makes sense for me basically [16:54]
diana_coman: esp since at the end of the day I *could* mix the cft if that was better [16:54]
mircea_popescu: it would be less cft necessarily. [16:54]
mircea_popescu: yeh. [16:54]
diana_coman: myeah, add that to the mix [16:54]
is3nt: query deedbot [18:17]
diana_coman: is3nt, deedbot is not in here, try in #trilema or direct pm to deedbot [18:26]
nacci: requesting an account [20:26]
nacci: 5289BF92 [20:26]
shinohai: nacci: register you gpg key with deedbot? [20:27]
nacci: yes [20:27]
mircea_popescu: nacci a second. [20:27]
shinohai: ok mircea_popescu will make you an account when he has a spare moment [20:27]
shinohai: lol [20:28]
mircea_popescu: nacci http://wotpaste.cascadianhacker.com/pastes/ys98g/?raw=true [20:29]
nacci: shinohai do I need the deedbot's response in #trilema for "!!key nacci" command? [20:40]
nacci: I got the password file decrypted [20:40]
shinohai: nah just use the decrypted info to sign into Eulora [20:42]
mircea_popescu: yay [21:14]
