Maths is on your side

Think that Maths is boring or dull? Just too damn hard or annoying? A kind of foe to defeat or another set of hoops to jump through? You might have your reasons to think along those lines, but Maths is actually on your side - if you let it be your friend, that is. And for Maths to be your friend, all it takes is a good introduction to it.

The good news is that it's never too late for such an introduction - I do it all the time for my students, whether they have known Maths (as a foe, quite frequently) for a while or not. So, before I can do it for you in person, truly tailored to your needs, let me give you just a few examples of how Maths truly wants to be on your side.

Maths Earns You Money
That's right, Maths truly earns you money - if you just let it do its job properly. All those financials in the City working with large amounts of money on a daily basis actually rely to a large extent on Maths - number crunching, mathematical representations of the market, of global businesses. Maths can empower you to do that too!

Maths Saves You Money
Do you know all these supermarket and online offers of "3 for 2" and "20% off" and so on and so forth? Or clothes on sale, gadgets apparently discounted, books, software, jewellery - anything you might want to buy. They all sound like great offers, don't they? Well, in reality, only SOME of them will truly save you money - and it's only Maths that can indeed tell you with certainty which ones!

Maths Puts You Ahead of Competition

It's not only that Maths is used (and indeed required) for many jobs and in many fields - the better friends you make with Maths, the more likely it is that you'll be ahead of others who just didn't bother. Maths is a way of thinking - clear, helpful and giving you an advantage in a world where many don't take the chance of a proper introduction to Maths and just say "I'm no good at Maths." You might not be good at Maths right now, but you surely will be good at it, if you only make it your friend!

So let me know a bit about you: how are you getting along with Maths these days? Ever thought of being introduced to it again to start on friendlier terms?
